Granger & Co
The ricotta hotcakes with fresh banana and honeycomb butter have achieved the kind of legendary status that is very rarely deserved but absolutely is here. Bill Granger's Notting Hill original remains the benchmark for weekend brunch in London. Expect a queue — it moves quickly, the staff are genuinely warm, and the all-day menu means you can arrive at noon and not feel rushed.
Order this: Ricotta hotcakes, avocado toast with dukkah, fresh lemonade
The Shed
Farm-to-table before it became a cliché. The Gladwin brothers source everything from their family farm in West Sussex and it shows — the eggs are a different colour from what you get elsewhere and the sourdough is genuinely exceptional. The room feels like a particularly well-designed countryside barn that somehow ended up in W8. Weekend brunch here feels like a proper occasion.
Order this: Shakshuka, smoked salmon on sourdough, seasonal vegetable frittata
Electric Diner
Sit at the counter, order the eggs benedict, watch Portobello Road wake up through the window. Electric Diner does American diner energy with a distinctly Notting Hill sensibility — the food is sharper than it needs to be, the coffee is excellent, and the whole operation runs with a confidence that makes you want to come back every weekend.
Order this: Eggs benedict, buttermilk pancakes, bloody mary
Farmacy
Plant-based brunch done without compromise or condescension. The weekend brunch menu at Farmacy manages the rare trick of making you forget you are eating entirely plant-based food — not because it is trying to imitate anything, but because it is genuinely delicious on its own terms. The room is bright, the service is knowledgeable, and the turmeric latte is the best version of it we have encountered in London.
Order this: Farmacy full breakfast, chia pudding, turmeric latte
Gold
Soho House's Notting Hill neighbourhood restaurant is precisely what a weekend brunch should feel like — unhurried, beautiful, slightly indulgent. The room on All Saints Road is one of the most aesthetically considered dining spaces in west London. The brunch menu is concise and everything on it is worth ordering. The eggs on toast sounds simple and costs more than it should and is completely worth it.
Order this: Eggs on toast, avocado with everything bagel seasoning, fresh juice
