There are many variations on this recipe, I usually don’t stick to the same ingredients every time I make wings. The one thing I do not change is the how long I cook them for. I stick to the same temperatures and timeline. Feel free to play with seasonings that you enjoy.
You can change up seasoning ingredients to what makes your family happy but it is a simple recipe which I love.
I rinse off all chicken pieces.
I cut the whole wing into three parts the drum(looks like a mini drumstick), flat(part with 2 bones), and the tip which is just thrown away.
Take a baking sheet and I also use a baking rack covered with foil (I stab a couple holes in the foil to let the juice fall down and not pool)
Lay all chicken pieces out and begin to season, start with salt and pepper on both sides.
Add the rest of the seasonings to just ONE side of the wings(this will make sense in a step or two)
Place wings fully seasoned side up on the baking sheet and put into the oven. cook for 15 minutes
When 15 minutes is up lower temperature to 375 for 10 minutes
After 10 minutes use tongs to flip all the wings to the none seasoned side, add the missing seasoning and put back in the oven for 15 minutes.
When 15 minutes is up lower oven once more to 325 for 10 minutes.
Check your wings if they look done and crispy remove from oven, if they look a little rubbery still turn on your broiler to high for 3-5 minutes while watching to make sure they don't burn.
Let rest for a couple minutes and serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
